Are Your Kids Driving You Nuts? How to Avoid Devastating Parent Traps Are Your Kids Driving You Nuts?
How to Avoid Devastating Parent Traps                  by James J. Jones, Ph.D.
Introduction - Contd.

Acknowledgments

I am deeply grateful to God for my many difficulties and experiences in life. I acknowledge his hand in humbling me and softening my heart by guiding me through times when I thought my heart would break and I could endure no more. His still small voice was there, his hand firm and steady.

As I looked to him as my Father Model, he opened my understanding to some of his marvelous ways. Indeed, each of the principles shared in this work is consistent with his example as we observe him acting as our loving Heavenly Father.

Therefore, a very special spirit attends this work and those who follow these humble attempts to point out a better way will have success and come to know in their hearts that these simple principles are true ... and whence they came.

A Special Thanks I like a clean room. I just don't like to clean it.

A very heartfelt expression of gratitude goes to David Libhart for his unique talents and herculean effort as he stepped in and quickly transformed my rough efforts into a wonderfully clear and user friendly book for parents. Thanks David for your enormous contribution in getting this book to press.

By convention I’ve chosen to use the masculine pronoun when referring to a parent or a child. This seemed a bit arbitrary at times because it’s often the Mother more than the Father who carries out the parenting. I did this in an effort to keep the writing straightforward and uniform and hope to offend no one.

Note to Parents

This book is not complete in itself. It is designed to be used along with the audio compact discs that are included in the "Are Your Kids Driving You Nuts?" album which is part of the "Let’s Fix the Kids!" Parenting Program. Call 1-800-FIX-A-KID (1-800-349-2543) for more information.
